The Project is being implemented by a consortium of six partners: Marie Stopes International (MSI), DKT International, Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN), Population Council (PC), PharmAccess Foundation (PAF), and Society for Family Health (SFH) as the lead partner.
Society for Family Health Nigeria (the Lead Partner) has a mission to empower Nigerians, particularly the poor and vulnerable to lead healthier lives. Working with the private and public sectors, SFH adopts social marketing and behaviour change communication to improve access to essential health information, services, and products to motivate the adoption of healthy behaviours.
The Population Council conducts research to address critical health and development issues. Our work allows couples to plan their families and chart their futures. We help people avoid HIV infection and access life-saving HIV services. And we empower girls to protect themselves and have a say in their own lives.
DKT International is one of the largest private providers of family planning and reproductive health products and services in the developing world, serving 30 million couples in 2015, and preventing over 5 million unwanted pregnancies, 13,694 maternal deaths, and 2.6 million abortions. We are an innovative and adventurous social marketing NGO that promotes family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention and improves people’s lives.
MSD for Mothers has a commitment to global health and builds on this legacy by implementing programs, partnerships and solutions so no woman dies giving life. For over a century, MSD has taken on the most urgent global health challenges, including diabetes, HIV/AIDS and cervical cancer. Maternal mortality is no exception.
